Important! Jam of this type can be made from berries of any color, but the best option, of course, is red cherry. It is easier to handle and to taste everyone likes.

Cooking:

  1. Sweet cherry is washed under running water. There are no rules for bones in this recipe. If there is no time to take them out, then the drupes are left, but you can remove them as well. All rotten, damaged berries are removed from the common bowl.
  2. After washing, the berries are transferred to a colander so that excess water is removed.
  3. In a separate container, sugar and water are mixed, and the mixture is boiled until syrup is obtained.
  4. Jam is made in an enamel saucepan or a copper basin. Berries are poured into this container and filled with boiling syrup. The fire is turned on, and the sweet cherry is cooked for about 15-30 minutes in 2 doses with a break of 5 hours.
  5. As the foam appears, it needs to be removed. At the end of the second cooking, vanilla and citric acid are added to the jam.
  6. The finished dish is bottled in sterile containers. Fill the jars so that up to the top of the neck there is 1-2 cm.

It remains only to roll up the cans with boiled lids (for sterilization) and wrap them with a rug to cool them completely.
